Omron 3 Series Blood Pressure Monitor – The Ideal Model For You!
You don’t get to be the number one doctor recommended brand of blood pressure monitor in the world by chance. It requires the perfect combination of excellent design, dedication to innovation, and remarkable public relations.
While many manufacturers have one or two of those things, there is only one brand that has hit all three: Omron.
As anybody of you who is familiar with Omron knows, the brand has been producing high quality blood pressure monitors for years and has established itself as the very best in the game. It manufactures blood pressure monitors from the basic to the groundbreaking, upping its game with every new release.
As you’ll soon find out…
The Omron 3 Series certainly falls into the basic category, but that doesn’t mean it's inferior. As a wrist blood pressure monitor, it is a handy little tool for those of you who have to monitor your blood pressure on the go. It can be easily transported and will give you your results in a matter of minutes - if not seconds - so you don’t have to worry about missing chunks of your vacation or business trip.
In this article, we are going to give you a brief but comprehensive Omron 3 Series Blood Pressure Monitor review to help you decide if it is the right blood pressure monitor for you.
Let’s get started.

Our Omron 3 Series Blood Pressure Monitor Review
It is our opinion that the Omron 3 Series deserves a rating of three and a half stars out of five. That isn’t bad, but it could be better.
So why didn’t it score a full four stars? Well, while the Omron 3 Series does what it is supposed to do - that is, deliver an accurate and timely reading of your blood pressure - it doesn’t do much else. I mean, there are a couple of other handy features, but compared to other Omron blood pressure monitors it doesn’t offer a whole lot.
Let’s not focus on the cons right now, though. Let’s begin on a positive note and look at a couple of the pros of owning the Omron 3 Series.
The Omron 3 Series has the ability to detect and alert you to hypertension. This means it will not only measure your blood pressure, but also let you know if your blood pressure exceeds internationally recognized normal blood pressure levels.
Given that one in every three American adults is estimated to suffer from high blood pressure, this is an invaluable feature. The blood pressure monitor will also alert you to an irregular heartbeat if one is present.
If you suffer from high blood pressure, it is not uncommon for your doctor to ask you to keep a log of your daily or weekly blood pressure levels. The Omron 3 Series makes this easier than ever before.
With 60 memory storage, you can record and save weeks of your blood pressure results. A time and date stamp will make finding specific readings a breeze and eliminate the need for endless scrolling through your results.
Advanced Accuracy Technology
One of the major selling points of the Omron 3 Series is that it comes equipped with Omron’s unique Advanced Accuracy technology. Using Advanced Accuracy, the Omron 3 Series will take three readings of your blood pressure in short intervals and combine the results to give you your average blood pressure level, ensuring you have the clearest idea of where you stand as possible.
A closer look at Omron’s Advanced Accuracy technology can be found in the video below.
I don’t want you to think that the Omron 3 Series is completely unreliable, as the majority of those who have purchased it have not reported any inaccuracies.
However, it should be mentioned that a couple of online reviewers have experienced some problems with their monitors. Many who have compared their Omron 3 Series results with the results of a blood pressure monitor in a cardiologist’s office have reported the Omron product was either a little off or way off the cardiologist’s results.
It is possible that these patients simply got defective models, but it is certainly something to be mindful of.
No Multi-User Feature
Many of the more recent blood pressure monitors have a multi-user feature which allows two or more people to make use of the device to monitor their blood pressure. A great deal of Omron’s blood pressure monitors have multi-user capabilities, but the Omron 3 Series is not one of them.
Although this blood pressure monitor allows you to record and save up to 60 readings at a time, it does not differentiate between users, which can be a problem if you’re looking for a blood pressure monitor for a family home.
I know the three and a half star rating might turn some people away from the Omron 3 Series, but if you’re looking for an inexpensive monitor to do little else than monitor your blood pressure, you shouldn’t be so quick to write it off.
While it does not quite stand up against later models such as the Omron 10 Series Wireless, it does have a few things working in its favor. Some further features of the Omron 3 Series include:
The Omron 3 Series features a compact design, which is not something that can be said about every blood pressure monitor. Many of the most recent blood pressure monitors are quite clunky, a major drawback if you need to keep track of your blood pressure while on the move.
Those who are looking for the best blood pressure monitor which they can take with them on vacation or in their handbag should definitely consider the Omron 3 Series as its lightweight, compact design makes it easier than ever to carry around and take through customs.
Omron has produced all sorts of blood pressure monitors in the past, but its wrist blood pressure monitors have frequently drawn criticism from those in the know.
While the device itself is rarely anything short of stellar in its durability and performance, the strap on which it rests has often fallen short of expectations. Many unsatisfied customers have complained of their straps tearing after only a couple of weeks, making it impossible for them to get an accurate estimation of their blood pressure.
The strap of the Omron 3 Series, however, is the strongest Omron has ever included with a wrist blood pressure monitor. There have been virtually zero complaints about rips or tears and those who have experienced such problems have received appropriate compensation.

It can be easy to focus on the drawbacks of the Omron 3 Series rather than its many pros. If you are one of those people who chooses to focus on the negative rather than the positive - in which case it’s no wonder your blood pressure is so high - this probably isn’t the blood pressure monitor for you.
But if you are an optimist and are looking for a blood pressure monitor which will do nothing other than accurately measure your blood pressure, you’re going to be immensely satisfied with the Omron 3 Series.
Sure, it doesn’t have quite as many features as our other BPMGuide top Omron blood pressure monitors, but it doesn’t claim to. It does what it is supposed to do and it does it well, and in the end, isn’t that all we can ask for?
